Electronics for Imaging (EFI) has made enhancements to its MarketDirect platform.
It has added to its MarketDirect PackCentral platform, offering new web-to-pack options that enhance the functionality of EFI MarketDirect.
According to the company, the additions go beyond its core customer communication and marketing campaign management capabilities, and includes easy-to-use procurement, order management, and customer collaboration tools designed specifically for packaging converters and brands.
“With EFI’s MarketDirect PackCentral, packaging professionals can digitally transform their businesses and grow profitability through new revenue streams and reduced sales costs,” the company said, in a statement.
“Keeping customers top of mind, PackCentral allows packaging and corrugated service providers to increase value for the brands they serve by streamlining their end-to-end workflows while also providing future-ready features like SmartBox Designer, a new tool to simplify and visualise on-line 3D design.”
The company added that the solutions for packaging design and project re-ordering help converters quickly adapt to global trends such as just-in-time, customised inventory and multi-SKU/versioned packaging supply chains, which in-turn provide new revenue stream opportunities and growth capabilities.
The software is also expected to simplify and automate key operations to help packaging printers and converters maintain and grow profits, specifically:
- Enable customers, procurement agents and buyers to quickly search, select and order products 24/7 from a customised online portal.
- Enable producers and manufacturers to more efficiently create and publish a library of products to online catalogs, helping eliminate errors and reduce transactional costs by moving more procurement online.
- Allow users to automatically create sales orders and view available inventory, saving customers and CSRs time.
- Allow users to create, customise and visualise folding carton and corrugated box designs online with SmartBox Designer within PackCentral.
EFI MarketDirect PackCentral is available now from EFI and authorised EFI resellers.
