James Wells – Managing Director 

James is the Managing Director of Printer Media Group (a division of The Intermedia Group) – the owner of Australian Printer, New Zealand Printer, ProPrint and ProPack.pro.

James has worked for The Intermedia Group since 2000 and prior to this appointment worked for the Sydney Olympic Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) as a Supervisor and Manager within the Media Operations Team. 

As a Group Publisher, James has created and managed numerous print and digital publications for the event management, liquor and hospitality industry as well as the hotel accommodation category, the consumer electronics industry, the jewellery industry and the convenience retailing industry. 


Carmen Ciappara – Sales Manager 

Carmen joined the printing industry in 1986. She was part of the team that launched ProPrint in 1991 and is responsible for the advertising sales in print for ProPack.pro, sister titles Australian Printer, ProPrint and their digital platform Sprinter.

Carmen has successfully grown the ProPrint Awards since its inception (formerly known as the Power 50) in 2010, the only Australian industry event that brings innovators and leaders of print together with suppliers who proudly support, sponsor and partner with the Power 50.

Carmen is trusted and well respected, she is known to always go above and beyond to ensure her clients expectations are exceeded.

Brian Moore – Sales Manager 

Brian has worked in Australia as well as his native New Zealand and in Singapore, mostly with media for the printing, packaging and graphic communications industry.
He has experience founding multiple titles in the APAC region, including Asia Pacific Packaging, Asia Pacific Newspapers Today, and Asia Pacific Apparel.
In his 40+ year career, he has held many and varied positions in publishing companies, including editorial and sales roles, understanding the full end-to-end process of publishing. Brian has also been a copy writer and edited a book for Readers Digest. 
In his downtime, he managed to create a magazine on a passion project, The Stamp Collector, producing it entirely on his own.

Hafizah Osman – Editorial 

When she is not working on ProPack.Pro, Hafizah is the editor of Australian Printer, the longest-running trade publication in the country, and one of the longest-running in the world. Known for fair, accurate reporting, and breaking stories, she has cultivated good relationships with all those she works with.
Before writing on the printing and packaging industries, Hafizah was the print and digital editor for a content, communications and publishing agency. She created meaningful, memorable and strategic content for brands and clients. 
Hafizah started her career as a cadet journalist 10 years ago (2011) at IDG Communications, reporting on everything technology related within the reseller community. She worked her way up the ranks and became its associate editor in five years. She’s always on the hunt for a good news story. 

Sheree Young – Editorial 

Sheree Young is the Editor of the bi-monthly printing industry magazine, ProPrint which covers business and technology news specific to the printing trade in Australia, which regularly crosses over into the booming packaging sector. ProPrint is the voice of the industry in Australia and Features long form features on printers and what makes them tick as well as regular technology guides. One of Sheree’s favourite parts of the role is visiting printers and telling their stories of hard work and innovation in ProPrint. 

Sheree started her career as a cadet journalist at Australia’s national news wire service Australian Associated Press (AAP) 18 years ago and went on to cover state politics, courts, general news, finance and sport all while honing her reporting and editing skills. Sheree loves to get to the bottom of the story and tell it like it is. 

Paul Brescia – Editorial 

Paul Brescia, who previously worked for the Printer Media Group until 2020, has returned to Intermedia to work as a freelance journalist across ProPack.pro and the RetailBiz titles within the Charted Media Group division of Intermedia.

Before writing on the printing and packaging industries, he was a radio journalist, doing news and current affairs for the nationally broadcast program, The Wire, including working as a Federal budget-lock up reporter in Canberra.

With a Masters in Future Journalism, he is well-across the digital aspects of publishing, while his print knowledge and experience gives him a healthy respect for the power of ink on paper.
