Corrugated will be an area of focus for APR Solutions and its A/NZ partner Graph Pak in the coming months as customers demand for more solutions in that space.
APR Solutions director Ahmed Mouneib and Graph Pak Tom Ralph managing director Tom Ralph were at PacPrint showing off their latest technologies and talking about upcoming plans for their businesses.
“Later this year, we are going into the corrugated market and we will soon be launching some products in this space,” Mouneib said.
“The corrugated market has been growing really well, especially in the last five years. It has skyrocketed.”
“Corrugated wasn’t a space we were in before but I’m looking forward to getting into it too. We’re getting corrugated customers coming in, asking questions about it. So we know that there’s a market for it,” Ralph added.
One of the products that APR Solutions and its A/NZ partner Graph Pak currently have that is suited to the corrugated space is the Athos Plus, which was launched in august last year.
The Athos Plus is an automatic feeder machine designed to apply double sided tape, acrylic tape, foam, pvc e tear tape on any type of paper, cardboard, profiles, wood and aluminium.
It has been set up with two types of different feeders: semiautomatic feeder, ideal when working with light weights materials, complex die-cuts, and materials which may create electrostatic fields; as well as automatic continuous feeder PLUS, ideal for products weighing over 150 gr/sqm, and ensuring a high production speed.
APR Solutions, together with Graph Pak, also showcased its Box Plus 2 compact hybrid folder gluer which comes with three Athos taping machines for packaging and e-commerce operations.
“The Box Plus 2 is a fully automatic machine for folding and gluing straight boxes and crash-lock bottom boxes and more. With three-point gluing, it can also be configured to handle envelopes, DVD wallets, folders, inserting paper and plastic cards, applying double-sided tape and tear tape, and more, making it a very versatile and profitable addition to any packaging operation,” Ralph added.
Graph-Pak also showcased D&K lamination solutions including the Europa B2 system, based on the successful Jupiter range, and Neptune B3 model.
“These compact and fully-automated models offer smooth, trouble-free processing of a wide range of sheet weights, with fully-automated operation, compact footprints and easy, PLC-controlled operation,” he said.
“The Europa is ideal for digital or litho output with a high-pile feeder to maximise efficiency on longer-run work. The speedy Neptune runs at up to 15 metres per minute for B3 work. Users can also choose to add features. These include extended feed tables or a rewind unit for foiling, to further extend flexibility.”
Also on show at the Graph Pak stand was the Busch banding machine.
