Renz Australia has made its first foray into the luxury packaging market following a new distribution agreement with Italian packaging equipment provider, Zechini.

“Renz Australia has supported the printing industry for more than 40 years, and now we’re turning our attention to the packaging industry for the first time,” Tim Killen, sales director, Renz Australia, told ProPack.

“Increasingly, our customers have been asking about box manufacturing equipment, which led us to engage with Zechini. We see a lot of opportunity in the space and have also recently added the Morgana ColorCut Digital Die Cutters to our portfolio.”

Founded in 1981, Renz Australia represents a range of quality equipment and supplies for binding, laminating, shredding, and related paper handling machines for both the office and industrial user.

The Zechini range boasts an extensive lineup of semi-automated and automated machines, including the Kissy Automatic Cover Material Gluer and Box Positioning Machine, the CT150 2.0″ Corner Taping Machine, and the Symphony 3/3C” Automatic Board Grooving Machine. The machines are also completed by Box on Demand Software (B.O.N.D) specifically designed for covered luxury boxes.

“TheZechini range allows customers to manufacture boxes of different sizes and configurations with remarkable efficiency, precision, and with a repeatable high-quality finish,” said Killen.

According to Killen, Renz Australia has already received interest from several major operators about the Kissy Automatic Cover Material Gluer and Box Positioning Machine and the CT150 2.0″ Corner Taping Machine.

Live demonstrations of the Zechini range will also be taking place at Drupa – drupa 2024 – the world’s leading trade fair for print technologies – which takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 28th May to 7th June.
