Canberra’s BentSpoke Brewing Co. has launched its Barley Griffin beer with a new pack look.

For a limited time only, consumers will be able to purchase BentSpoke’s favourite Pale Ale with Mama and Papa Skywhale packaging designed by Patricia Piccinini, the hot air balloon artist herself.

Since BentSpoke started canning its beers back in 2014, drinkers could find the original Skywhale Mama air balloon hidden in the cans design.

For BentSpoke, this represents its strong Canberra roots.

This inspired BentSpoke founder Tracy Margrain along with Patricia Piccinini to collaborate further.

Initially the two brewed the Skywhale Ale, which can be found on tap at the Braddon BrewPub. With the launch of Skywhale

Papa this year, they decided to do another collaboration on the Barley Griffin packaging to celebrate the launch of Skywhale papa over Lake Burley Griffin.

These packs are now available from Canberra bottle shops.

BentSpoke will also have a limited run of Skywhale x Barley Griffin t-shirts which you can purchase on their website.
