7-Eleven ParcelMate enables customers to send parcels to street addresses nation-wide from any of the 545 7-Eleven stores with the ParcelMate lockers.
Perfect for sending out those Christmas presents, the cut-off date for pre-Christmas delivery is Friday 10 December for standard, and Friday 17 December for express service.
Matt Keogh, 7-Eleven General Manager Product, said providing choice and convenient options for customers was at the centre of the design of the service.
“While ecommerce has been growing rapidly over the past decade, there’s no doubt that many additional Australians embraced online shopping over the last two years. The volume of packages currently in the network means many people are looking for additional ways to send gifts to family interstate, or dispatch orders to their online shoppers.”
The competitive prices start at $12 for standard delivery of a 1kg satchel and $15 for the 1kg express satchel, with the weights used just a guideline.
“Our flat rate parcel sending service means there’s no need to weigh your parcel, if it fits in one of our satchels or boxes, you just pay the flat rates depending on if you want standard or express delivery.”
Customers also have the option for the recipient to pick up the parcel directly from a locker at a store and save roughly $2 per parcel.
During November, the average standard delivery time was three business days and next day delivery for express parcels if dropped into a locker before 12pm.
