WEPACK organisers Reed Exhibitions have announced that the World Expo of Packaging Industry (WEPACK) has been scheduled for April 7 to 9, 2022 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition& Convention Center.

WEPACK encompasses Reed’s series converting expos, i.e., SinoCorrugated South, SinoFoldingCarton, China Packaging Container Expo, SinoFlexPack South, SinoPaper South, Intralogistics and Process Management Expo, and Digital Printing Equipment and Technology Expo, which cover the whole packaging industry chain.

Reed said its 7-in-1 Sino Mega Expo establishes long-term strategic partnership with World Packaging Organization (WPO), aiming at promoting the global packaging industry and promoting sustainable packaging.

Reed Sino converting expo has been held annually with one year in Shanghai (odd year) and one year in Guangdong (even year). The 2022 edition will be relocated to Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center(even year).

“WEPACK is a global super event for packaging industry insiders to share, to learn and to communicate,” Reed Exhibitions China senior vice-president Thomas Huang said.

“Reed 7-IN-1 Sino Mega Expo goes hand-in-hand with WPO to initiate WEPACK. It is an annual must-visit feast for global printing and packaging industry and terminal brand packaging practitioners.”

WPO president Pierre Pienaar also expressed his best wishes to WEPCAK and raised his concern about sustainability.

“… At the current rate of what we’re using of our earth natural resources, if we continue on that trajectory, we would require nearly three planet earths. If each of us, you and me, all play a part, then by 2050, we can be back on one planet earth”.

Reed Exhibitions China assistant president Alex Wang further elaborated on the WEPACK vision, and future direction of strategic cooperation with WPO in a media Q&A session.

“In the future, WEPACK will not only be a one-way trade platform for Chinese suppliers to connect with international buyers, but also a super mega-event for global industry insiders to engage,” he said.
