In the world of craft beer, first impressions count, which is why Orora has welcomed back the GABS Can Design Awards as we celebrate “Outside the Tin” and the super creatives behind the stunning art.

More than 140 Australian breweries have entered the GABS Can Design Awards, with Orora saying that with most of the brew pubs shut for large parts of the year, the creativity behind packaged beer “went off the charts”. 

“Think mythology, skeletons, cult classics, sports and everything in between! These adventurous and unique themes have inspired designers and produced some of the country’s best retail packaging!” it said.

“Here’s your opportunity to show some love and appreciation for our home-grown talent.”  

How to vote

Orora has created a tour of the virtual art gallery. When you’ve narrowed it down to the three you like the most, submit it in the voting portal.

Everyone that casts a vote will be entered into a draw to win a share of the $10,000 prize pool which includes vouchers from BoozeBud and tickets to the next GABS Festival season.

As for the winning designer, they will walk away with $1,000 in cash and a listing with Brews News. 

Based on the votes, Orora will then ask a panel of brand and design experts to judge the Top 10 shortlist and select the 2021 winner of the Orora Golden Can Trophy.
