Managing director Screen GP Australia, Peter Scott presents the TruePress L350UV SAI S inkjet label press with its new digital primer option.

The digital primer option was developed for the L350UV SAI S to improve adhesion, graininess, wettability/ink density, and potential bleed. The option uses the extra head space in the L350UV SAI S to install an inline inkjet primer unit without requiring additional installation space or additional main UV lamps.

The L350UV SAI S is already a best-seller in the ANZ region, and the new digital primer allows printers to enter new markets where substrates and uncoated paper present challenges for inkjet.

Scott says the primer assists with substrates where there may be issues with quality and adhesion particularly with matt varnish.

‘We are very much looking forward to printing samples and showing customers back home,” says Scott.

Distributor Jet Technologies has installed the new L350UV SAI S with the digital primer option in its Sydney Technology Centre for customer demonstrations.
