Specialty coffee brand, ST. ALi, continues to go from strength to strength as it scales its operations to meet growing demand in 2024, following the addition of a second Goglio G21 vertical form fill seal (VFFS) coffee packaging machine from Jet Technologies.
This year, ST. ALi launched its premium coffee range nationwide in Coles supermarkets, further solidifying its presence in the Australian coffee market.
“With our second Goglio G21 VFFS machine, we’re well-equipped to meet the demands of our growing retail and wholesale channels,” said Lucy Ward, head of operations and sourcing at ST. ALi.
“This machine allows us to increase our packaged coffee output and maintain the same exceptional quality our customers have come to expect, whether they’re picking up a bag of our coffee in Coles or ordering from our online store.”
The installation of the second Goglio machine comes just four years after ST. ALi’s initial investment in the technology. ST. ALi’s two machine advanced packaging system has enabled the company to double its packing capabilities, streamlining the packaging process with an impressive output of 20 coffee bags per minute, per machine.
Jet Technologies, ST. ALi’s long-term partner, continues to support the company’s growth by providing the premium flexible coffee packaging laminates and degassing valves that maintain the freshness and quality of ST. ALi’s world-class coffee.
ST. ALi is presently adopting new sustainable packaging solutions in partnership with Jet Technologies, aligning with the brand’s commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.
“We’ve always taken pride in being a fast-moving, adaptable company, and the past few years have proven the strength of that approach,” said Ward.
“The expansion into Coles has been a huge milestone for us, and with the addition of the second Goglio G21, we’re ready for whatever comes next.”
Jet Technologies’ general manager, Daniel Malki, said ST. ALi is a true leader in Australia’s specialty coffee scene.
“Their ability to constantly evolve and innovate is inspiring, and we’re proud to continue supporting them as they expand their operations and break new ground,” said Malki.
To further its commitment to eco-friendly practices, ST. ALi is using ShieldCycle packaging from Jet Technologies. ShieldCycle features a Polyolefin-based plastic structure that replaces the non-recyclable aluminium layer in traditional coffee bean packaging with recyclable layers, ensuring that all components can be easily melted down and reused.
