Esko has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification for its integrated software solutions, underlining its commitment to safeguarding customer data and protecting it against unauthorised access, data breaches, and other potential security risks.
The certification assures Esko customers that the information, intellectual property, and other critical assets are secure and protected, assessing the organizations’ security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy controls against stringent criteria set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
The successful accreditation was completed less than a year after the company achieved the international standard on information security management, ISO 27001, following a perfect 100 per cent assessment of its policies and procedures.
Esko chief technology officer Joël Depernet explained, “The SOC2 Type 2 certification involves a rigorous evaluation, conducted by an independent auditor, in which the design and effectiveness of an organisation’s security controls and processes are assessed.
“This achievement underscores Esko’s ongoing commitment to meeting the stringent security requirements demanded by customers in the packaging, labels, and artwork management industries.
“As a customer-centric organisation, Esko understands the critical importance of maintaining robust security measures to protect our customers’ valuable data, a point reinforced by our recent ISO 27001 security standard accreditation.”

The SOC 2 Type 2 scope will be expanded to include other critical products besides Esko WebCenter and Blue software.
