Global packaging company Tetra Pak has appointed Boris Munster as the managing director of its Oceania business. Munster will be based in Melbourne, Australia.
Munster will be responsible for Tetra Pak’s business operations in Australia and New Zealand, succeeding Andrew Pooch, who stepped down to retire after nearly 35 years of service to the company.
He brings extensive global commercial experience in the F&B and retail industry, having worked across multiple regions in Europe and North America.
Munster joined Tetra Pak 15 years ago as a retail account manager in Belgium. Since then, he has held various roles within the company, including key account director for contract manufacturing in the US and Canada, growing the team and facilities while being involved with the company’s global DE&I initiatives.
Pooch said, “Boris brings a strong commercial acumen and a broad set of knowledge from his experience working in Europe and North America, making him an outstanding candidate for the role.
“I’m confident that his hunger for success, combined with his years of industry expertise, will be invaluable in bringing the next chapter of growth at Tetra Pak in Oceania.”
Commenting on his appointment, Munster said he’s honoured to be given the opportunity to build on the great foundation set up by his predecessor, who has led Tetra Pak Oceania through challenging times during the pandemic.
Munster said, “I am thrilled to take on this role and lead our amazing team at Tetra Pak Oceania to deliver innovative packaging and processing solutions for our customers and help them advance their sustainability goals by delivering solutions that can decarbonise the food industry.
“Oceania is well poised for its next chapter of growth, and I look forward to working with the team to take the business to new heights.”
