The Flexible, Packaging, and Label Manufacturing Association (FPLMA) Technical Forum 2024 and Awards Dinner will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 29-30 August.
The FPLMA Technical Forum 2024 headline is Navigating The New Frontiers. It will focus on speakers addressing the themes of solutions and future sustainability, creating value in the packaging space and next generation updates and Equipment.
The keynote speaker, Tim Piper from the Australian Industry Group, will speak on the state of the packaging industry. Other prominent speakers include Michael Kingsbury, CEO of ULLU, who will discuss seaweed-based materials as plastic alternatives and the head of Packaging Transformation at APCO, Sandra Dal Maso, who will speak on the role of FMCG in delivering National Packaging targets. The FPLMA Print Awards recognise excellence in the packaging industry and showcase outstanding work. They celebrate creativity, innovation, and technical skills.
FPLMA Print Awards are given in a wide range of categories, including Flexo, Gravure, Label, and Digital.
Secretary for the FPLMA, Tony Dalleore spoke to ProPack about this year’s program and the Print Awards.
“It’s a powerful and focussed conference this year. We’re hosting over 17 local and international speakers,” Dalleore said.
“Delegates from the Australian packaging industry can learn market trends at home and overseas, particularly in Asia, US and Europe.
“The Awards Dinner is a spectacular evening. 350 plus people attend, and it’s a night full of awards and entertainment.”
