Global Packaging Forum runs as a virtual edition this week

The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), in conjunction with Informa Markets, is running the second Global Packaging Forum as part of ProPak Asia 2020 this week.

The 2020 Global Packaging Forum is being run as a virtual edition and will be held over four days from the 19 to 22 October.

Each session will bring together expert global presenters who will be discussing four topics:

1# How to achieve Global and Regional Packaging Targets for the ASEAN region

9am to 10.30am Bangkok GMT+7 (1.00 pm AEDT)

This session will discuss the targets and what the industry is working towards to ensure that packaging is circular by design and sustainable, reusable, recyclable and has the lowers environmental impact possible.

2# How to balance Sustainable Packaging & Food Waste Targets

3.00 pm Bangkok GMT+7 (7.00 pm AEDT)

This session will help you look at your own environmental footprint and what road you need to take to become more sustainable as a business. The panel will discuss the challenges and learnings when looking at how to implement Save Food Packaging Guidelines into your business and how to find the optimum design for your products. Best Practice Award-winning examples will be showcased during this session.

3# Circular and Sustainable Design: Packaging for the future

The speakers in this session will discuss the Circular Economy and what Circular design really looks like.

All of industry is invited to attend, and registrations are free.

ProPak Asia is one of the few live events for the sector this year. Taking place with added public safety and security measures, this year’s event will feature a wide variety of local as well as international suppliers of technology displaying their latest solutions. The event is also running in a virtual version.

Informa Markets has also provided an update that ProPak China has been postponed to 25 to 27 November at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The event was initially scheduled to take place on 22 to 24 June this year.
