Originally due to take place at the end of September, digital and screen printing fair, DS Printech China, will now be held in the new year from 7 to 9 January at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
According to its organisers Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, China Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association (CSGIA) and Guangzhou Teyin Exhibition Service, the rescheduled dates are intended to provide greater certainty to participants over their travel plans.
Messe Frankfurt (HK) senior general manager Wendy Wen said, “China has done a great job in bringing the latest occurrence of COVID cases under control in a short period of time.
“However, as we look forward this month, there is still the possibility of disruptions to travel to Shanghai. With this in mind, and to ensure we adhere to the government’s guidelines for pandemic containment, we have decided to hold the fair next January instead.”
Wen mentioned that following the success of the first Shenzhen edition last year, it is committed to hosting this next event successfully in Shanghai, as the feedback from exhibitors and buyers is that trade fairs are playing an important role in their recovery following the impact from the pandemic.
The 2020 edition of DS Printech China hosted 200 exhibitors and 8,853 visitors, while there were over 130,000 online participants.
The fair, a platform dedicated to the digital and screen printing industry, is a rebranded fair of two events: CSGIA and Textile Digital Printing China.
“We look forward to welcoming the industry to the fair in January 2022 to start the new year off on a positive note.”
