ProPack Packaging Forum sees large number of delegates assemble

The recent ProPack Packaging Forum took place at the Shangri-La in Sydney, with organisers confirming the event saw almost 300 people register to attend both the ProPack Packaging Forum and the FESPA Australia Conference, which concurrently ran in the adjacent auditorium.

ProPack.pro publisher James Wells said the turnout is the “largest number of delegates assembled for a printing and packaging conference in Australia”, adding that the events were also part of the inaugural ANZPPW – Australia and New Zealand Printing and Packaging Week.

“On Tuesday, some of the people in this room joined us across the ditch for the inaugural New Zealand Printing and Packaging Forum, in conjunction with Ruth Cobb and her team from PrintNZ,” Wells said during the opening of the ProPack Packaging Forum on Friday, 17 October.

“This is the first time since Covid that the New Zealand Printing and Packaging industry has come together for an industry conference.  It was a great first event and we look forward to increasing the attendance and broadening the content in the years to come.

“Also held on Tuesday was the New Zealand People In Print and Rising Stars of Print Awards – a set of peer-voted awards recognising those who have made a significant contribution to the industry over the last 12 months as well as the emerging leaders of the future.

“The survey data from delegates at the New Zealand events has just been shared internally and 100 per cent of delegates have said they would attend the event again in 2026 and 100 per cent of delegates would encourage additional staff and peers to attend the event next year.

“Taking all of this into consideration, the inaugural ANZPPW has been a tremendous success and has exceeded the expectations of everyone involved.

“It has brought together in two countries well over 1,000 people from the printing community in just a few short days – almost rivalling the attendance of other industry trade events – but by comparison only a fraction of the investment required to make it happen.

“And the best thing about working in conjunction with publishers like the Printer Media Group is that we are the only team that can produce the number digital and print publications as well as conferencing and awards – no one else can do it.

“The messages to the industry shared on stage here today will not just be absorbed by the delegates in attendance and re-told – your messages will also receive further amplification to an audience several times higher than the physical attendees who will be reading all about this both digitally and in print for days, weeks, and months to come on both sides of the Tasman.”

The ProPack Packaging Forum would not be possible without its sponsors:
Platinum – Durst
Gold – Koenig & Bauer and Xeikon
Silver – Cyber
Bronze – Bobst, DieLine Solutions, Hybrid Software, Kissel + Wolf, and Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems
