Coopers Brewery has deepened its partnership with Supercars, unveiling a limited-edition Coopers Dry 3.5 Supercars can that will launch to coincide with the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 later this month.
The new commemorative can will debut exclusively at the event from 24-26 October and will be available in the main public bars and corporate areas at Surfers Paradise, where around 200,000 racegoers are expected to attend.
The commemorative design of Coopers Dry 3.5 was created in collaboration with Orora, using the latest Helio digital printing technology – one of the first cans in the market to feature the process.
Coopers managing director Michael Shearer said, “Orora really pushed the boundaries on this design to make the can standout with a broad spectrum of colour and unique texture.
“The end result is a great looking can that holds a great tasting beer. The Coopers Dry 3.5 Supercars can is truly unique and sure to become a collector’s item among race goers and beer can enthusiasts.”
Orora partnered with Velox Digital, an Israel-based global developer and manufacturer of industrial-grade direct-to-shape digital decoration solutions, to install Helio in August, which is the first digital printer of its kind by a large can maker in the Southern Hemisphere.
Representing a major innovation for the beverage packaging market across this region, Helio utilises direct-to-shape digital printing technology, unlocking endless possibilities in colour and texture for unique can design and decoration at 500 cans per minute.
