OMET recently took to Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona to unveil its new KFlex K6 platform, representing a new concept of modular and fully interchangeable printing, designed to combine maximum flexibility, efficiency, and quality.

The key strength of the K6 is the new flexo station, conceived to redefine the way of printing with an automatic process, from start-up to job changeover, setting high quality standard in label and packaging printing.

Among its key innovations are:

New Direct-driven flexo units with sleeve technology
SWITCH interchangeability system
Automatic pressure adjustment and control
Brand new interchangeable offset unit
Renovated Cold Foil Saver, delivering up to 50 per cent material savings in cold foil applications, cutting both costs and waste, and
Next-generation Vision and Multivision systems, optimised to ensure superior automated register adjustment and the lowest possible waste.

These features not only simplify operators’ work but also provide printers with competitive advantages, even in the most demanding production runs.

Available in two web widths – 430mm and 530mm – the K6 prints at up to 200m/min. Its modular design allows users to combine and implement in-line orienting technologies with the maximum flexibility, as well as special finishing applications and converting units, to always get to the final product in one single pass.

“The KFlex K6 platform is the most innovative press of the show, where we can see full automation. It’s a great concept with zero-waste, is fully automatic, and easy for the operator to make sure that every label printer can deliver on large productions with this press,” OMET export area manager Claudio Piredda said.

Alongside the K6, OMET also showcased the XFlex X7, a machine for shrink sleeve and flexible packaging production. Equipped with fully servo-driven “Zero-Gear” flexo units and capable of reaching speeds of 250 m/min, the X7 aims for high-quality output and outstanding productivity at top speeds.
