DS Printech China postponed once again

DS Printech China will no longer take place next month due to the developing pandemic situation in Shanghai.

The fair was scheduled to take place from 18 to 20 May but will now commence later in the year. The organisers are working to secure new dates for the show and will announce these as soon as possible.

Messe Frankfurt (HK) senior general manager Wendy Wen said, “As a result of the developing situation of the pandemic nationwide and particularly with the increase of case numbers in Shanghai, the government has implemented tighter containment measures and travel restrictions.

“Also in Shanghai, many large-scale exhibition venues have been enlisted as temporary mobile treatment facilities, affecting various events scheduled at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

“It is for these reasons that it has been necessary for the organisers of the fair to postpone the show to a later date. The organisers fully support the pandemic containment efforts of the government and we will work to ensure that the fair can recommence when it is safe and possible for all participants.

“A business matching service will be available soon for exhibitors to get in contact with buyers online. The digital platform is set to be an important asset for enhancing connectivity amongst global industry players during the interim period.”

The last physical edition of DS Printech China held in 2020 in Shenzhen hosted 200 exhibitors and 8,853 visitors, while there were over 130,000 online participants.

The fair, a tradeshow dedicated to the digital and screen printing industry, is a rebrand of two events: CSGIA and Textile Digital Printing China.

The fair is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, China Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association (CSGIA) and Guangzhou Teyin Exhibition Service.
