Cimpress’ “landmark” HP Indigo deal to include Vistaprint Australia

Following the preliminary announcement at drupa 2024, HP and Cimpress have formally agreed to install 10 to 20 new HP Indigo 120K or 18K digital presses globally in 2025 and 2026, in the US, Europe and Australia.

Cimpress operates in Australia via subsidiary Vistaprint.

HP said this “landmark deal” marks a significant moment for HP and Cimpress’ 20-year relationship, reinforcing their collaboration in this major milestone.

When asked about the Australian install, a HP spokesperson said the company is not disclosing any further region-specific details or local spokesperson comments at this stage.

Installing the new HP Indigo 120K or 18K digital presses will enable Cimpress to accelerate the volume of customer orders delivered while reducing overall running cost.

With advanced AI-powered solutions, the HP Indigo 120K automatically achieves image quality while increasing productivity by reducing manual intervention, allowing users to focus on growth and servicing customers. The HP Indigo 18K adds a wider colour gamut and superior substrate flexibility, expanding its field of applications

The HP Indigo 120K is designed for productivity, efficiency and reduced waste, enabling Cimpress to produce more prints in less time, translating into higher revenue for its business without compromising on quality.

Simplifying operations, the HP Indigo 120K integrates smoothly into existing workflows and ensures consistent quality outputs. For Cimpress, enhancing its fleet with the HP Indigo 120K will be a seamless migration, meaning day-to-day operations and production will avoid disruption.

Cimpress founder, chairman and CEO Robert Keane said, “Cimpress’ commitment to delivering market-leading customer value drives us to remain at the forefront of print technology.

“Our decision to install these HP Indigo presses – following our discussions at drupa in 2024 – reflects our confidence in HP’s cutting-edge technology and its ability to enhance our efficiency and expand our product and service offerings.

“We are proud to continue our collaboration with HP, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital print innovation to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

HP senior vice-president and division president Haim Levit said, “In a market where speed, flexibility, and exceptional quality are driving customer demands, we are delighted to partner with Cimpress as they install the HP Indigo 120K presses to deliver nonstop digital printing.

“By investing in cutting-edge digital print technology, they are positioning themselves for scalability, profitability, and long-term success. We’re excited to be on this journey with them as they transform from analogue to digital.”
